Description du poste Responsabilités Essentielles 1. Level: SPB2 / SPB3 (Depending on experience) Location: Directly based on a major project site (e.g., HPC, SZC in the UK, or Belfort with long-term site deployments) Travel: Local mobility and construction sites (approx. 50% to 60% of time in the field) Reporting Line: Line Manager: OPEX Department
Functional Manager: C&C Department (Construction & Commissioning) Job Summary The Lean Construction & Performance Site Manager is the guarantor of operational efficiency and productivity directly on the construction, assembly, and heavy equipment installation areas (particularly the turbine island and associated systems). He/She works as close as possible to the execution teams (supervisors, site managers, craft workers, and subcontractors) to streamline material flows, optimize the sequencing of installation tasks, minimize downtime (waiting, unnecessary handling), and ensure compliance with the master schedule within an extremely strict regulatory and safety framework. Job Description Core Responsibilities Collaborative Planning Optimization (Last Planner System): Structure and facilitate short-term planning (6-week / 3-week look-ahead / daily) directly with site managers and subcontractors to identify and remove operational roadblocks before they impact the construction path. Coactivity & Site Logistics Management (Kitting & Flows): Optimize component supply to the point of use (just-in-time, installation kit preparation, intermediate storage standardization) to maximize productive working time for installers and mechanical fitters. Deviation Resolution & Continuous Improvement (Gemba Focus): Analyze daily causes of non-productivity on site (delivery delays, missing tools, quality issues, poorly managed coactivity) and drive immediate corrective action plans with construction teams. Standardization & Performance Rhythms: Set up and run field performance rituals (5-minute morning huddles, visual management of physical installation progress, key performance indicators per zone). Safety and Cleanliness Drive (5S / FME): Deploy 5S standards adapted to nuclear constraints on site, particularly for Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) prevention and maintaining clean, safe work areas. Change Management: Train and coach site supervision teams and external partners on the fundamental concepts and tools of Lean Construction. Required Qualifications Education: Engineering degree in Civil, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Project Management. Field Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing or supervising large-scale heavy construction sites (power plants, petrochemicals, rail or naval infrastructure). Lean Construction Expertise: Proven mastery of sector-specific tools (Last Planner System, Takt Time Planning, Visual Management of construction sites, logistical flow VSM). Nuclear Safety Culture: Strong knowledge of applicable requirements on a nuclear construction site (quality assurance standards, rigorous traceability, "Zero Accident" safety culture). Languages: Fluent English and French (ability to run site meetings and write work procedures in both languages). Desired Characteristics Technical and Relational Credibility: Ability to engage on equal terms with a site manager or a project director thanks to a solid technical construction background. Pragmatism and Field Focus: Strong appetite for direct action in the field ("boots on the ground") rather than exclusive office work. Excellent Communication: Ability to unite teams from subcontracting companies and different cultures around a common performance goal. Rapid Analytical Mindset: High responsiveness to weather, technical, or logistical contingencies to reorganize tasks optimally. Join us and work with global teams to support global customers !
