Mission Description

Job Purpose:

Responsible for reviewing, analysing, and process customs-related adjustments to ensure compliance with regulations.

Job Function:

Review customs entries, declarations, invoices, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Identify and investigate discrepancies related to customs duties, taxes, tariffs, valuation, classification, and country-of-origin declarations.
Prepare and submit customs adjustments, corrections, amendments, and post-entry modifications as required.
Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to resolve customs-related issues.
Monitor customs transactions and ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations.
Analyze customs data and reports to identify trends, errors, and opportunities for process improvement.
Support customs audits by gathering documentation, preparing reports, and responding to information requests.
Maintain accurate records of customs adjustments, refunds, duty drawbacks, and compliance activities.
Stay informed of changes in customs laws, tariffs, trade agreements, and regulatory requirements.
Assist in developing and implementing customs compliance policies and procedures.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or a related field.
5 years of experience in customs compliance, international trade, freight forwarding, or import/export operations.
Knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classifications, valuation principles, and trade compliance requirements.
Experience working with customs management systems, ERP platforms, and trade compliance software.
Familiarity with duty drawback programs, customs audits, and post-entry adjustment processes is advantageous.
