ArcelorMittal is the world’s largest steel producer. We use the most innovative technologies to create the steels tomorrow’s world will be made of. Every day over 125,000 of our talented people, located in over 60 countries, push the boundaries of digitalization, and use advanced technologies to create a stronger, faster, and smarter world. To help make this possible, they know they can depend on the support and training that a company of our scope and scale can provide.

Comprising 1,650 researchers spread across 14 Research Centres around the world, our Global R&D team aims to continuously improve the quality of steel and its manufacturing processes. This involves investigating and developing disruptive technologies, reducing the carbon footprint of steel, and optimizing costs while maintaining uncompromising quality. The team's strong multicultural diversity, with over 30 nationalities, offers international experience and makes it possible to meet global needs.

Process Engineering represents a pillar of Process R&D, bringing together around 50 skilled researchers working both in Process and Products-Process activities. Process Engineering provides essential and transversal expertise that covers the entire production route, from upstream process design to final product industrialisation.

Its areas of expertise—ranging from advanced multiphysics numerical simulation, electromagnetism, and granular flow to thermodynamics, solidification, surface phenomena, energy management and analytical chemistry—are both critical and scarce. In addition, the team is responsible for key digital and modelling assets, which are widely used and contribute to process mastering and decision-making efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Process Engineering Department to lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers dedicated to developing, optimizing, and industrializing innovative process technologies.
